Healthy Back

In the Back-Care Program, we focus on relieving tightness within the spine that causes dysfunction or limitations, releasing larger superficial muscles that restrict the spine or pelvis from operating correctly, strengthen the core, and re-train the body mechanics to function correctly.
As we age, adaptations occur in how our body functions. Each body functions differently depending on the individual’s structure, the repetitive performance in our daily lives, and from any traumas our body has experienced. Therefor it is important to implement exercises and stretches that will create symmetry and strength of the spine.
The “posterior chain” (deep intrinsic/superficial muscles of the back), core muscles, and our larger hip/thigh “mover” muscles are addressed.
